Housekeeping update for the bar

Hello readers! Just wanted to let you all know that we’ve taken down links to our Facebook and Twitter accounts, as well as the email newsletter mirror of our RSS feed, since none of them are being maintained anymore.
We really did try to keep the email newsletter going, but a series of WordPress (and the affiliated Jetpack plug-in) updates over the past few years somehow erased our hundred-plus person, long-time subscriber base, and it felt senseless to try to rebuild that again in the present moment.
On the plus side, we’re currently experimenting with a migration to ClassicPress, which is a lighter-weight fork of WordPress that feels more apt for a group blog like us than the increasingly complicated WordPress engine and ecosystem.
