For those of us who read Chinese:
Postshow has an interesting post about 东北人 (the Northeasterners) use of the “嗷嗷” exclaimations as an all-purpose intensifier. For example, “比如postshow很酷，我就会说”postshow嗷嗷酷！” and “嗷嗷漂亮”就是漂亮得没法形容.”
